September and October 2025 Reading Moods: Books on my E-reader

Reading Time: 2 minutes

We don’t exactly have seasons in Jamaica and with climate departure the distinction between the dry season and rainy one is even more blurred but I feel like sharing my autumn 2025 reading moods.

Here’s a sneak peek, it’s cosy, warm, mysterious and a little fun.

September and October 2025 Reading Moods: Books on my E-reader

I haven’t been the best advanced reader in the last few months. But here are my varying moods right now.

I’m yearning for cooler days, rain (we need an end to this drought).

So from now to the lead up to December where I go completely Hallmark and Netflix Christmas mode, these are books I want to spend my time with.

I will share a holiday romance recommendations post in November which will include books I read and loved and few I hope to read this Christmas season.

While the books below are all on my Kindle I do want to prioritize at least one physical book in September and October but I haven’t decided what quote yet.

My moods

Books for book lovers 📚

After months of not reading or completing anything I read and enjoy Must Love Books by Shauna Robinson and so I want to lean in and read more books that are centred around book lovers. So my next bookish book will be The Bookshop Sisterhood by Michelle Lindo-Rice.

Slow Burn Romance ❤️

I will read smut but I’m in the mood for a slow burn. I started reading Fake It Till You Bake It and I’m hoping this will be the right vibe.

Debut and New Voices 🆕

I saw the author chat about her upcoming book on TikTok so I checked NetGalley and got approved to read The Full Picture by Jessica Carmichael. So I requested it and was approved. This book will be released in early December. It is a YA coming of age story and I’m looking forward to reading it.

Mysteries/Thrillers 💀

It is spooky season soon so I need to read a cosy mystery or thriller soon. I can’t do horror anymore but I love a whodunnit.

What are your reading plans for the next few weeks?

A Quick Question

How are you guys feeling about the biweekly posts?

I don’t feel as if I’ve recovered well enough to go back to weekly but I feel as if I’m getting there. And I’m excited about this space again and that for me is like magic.
